On Line Assessment, Profiling and Training
The assessment comprises two elements:
A Driver Survey which uses factual information about a driver's day to day driving, as well as a complete DVLA licence check to assess the driver’s risk profile.
An Aptitude Test which consists of up to 8 tests, including a psychometric assessment as well as a check on how well your drivers understand your driving policy.

On Road Assessment
This assessment is of your drivers actual driving and is assessed by a Driving Standards Agency approved Fleet Trainer. This can be done as a ride along during their normal work activities or as part of a driver training course, after which a detailed report will be given with useful information including areas which may need attention and any specific aspects which you may specify. Risk Assessments
Driver risk assessments are an essential part of managing road safety and fall into two types of assessments either software based or on road based. The end result of either or both of these methods is a detailed report tailored to your requirements of both the strengths and weaknesses of your drivers allowing you to take informed decisions in the training of your drivers highlighting any duty of care issues.
Managing Work Related Road Safety
According to the Department For Transport, “work related road safety can effectively be managed only if it is inergrated into arrangements for managing health and safety at work. You should look at your health and safety systems and consider whether they adequately cover this area of work.”

Since 1997 extra licence entilements have been required for driving vehicles over 3.5 tonne up to 7.5 tonne.
