Driving Tuition Terms & Conditions

The Driving Instructor shall give the pupil driving at the rate per hour previously communicated to the pupil by Select.

​

Select reserve the right to give Instruction to the pupil however the Instructor will not act in any way which contravenes legislation on discrimination.

​

The Company reserves the right to substitute a change of Instructor or car if necessary.

​

Driving Lesson cancellation must be made within 24hrs direct to your Instructor otherwise the lesson will be charged at full rate with no exceptions.

​

Pupils are expected to be ready for the agreed lesson time and waiting for the Instructor to arrive. Instructors will not knock on doors and will wait for a period of 15 mins and send a reminder text message to the pupil. Any lesson not attended is charged at full rate.

Lessons paid in arrears (invoiced) are charged at a rate of £45 per hr.

​

Lesson duration is an approximate and will not be to the exact finish time should external factors have occurred.

​

Gift Vouchers are non refundable.

​

Select accepts no liability for the acts, omissions or negligence of the driving instructor or any injury, loss or damage arising from the use of the tuition vehicle.

 

The driving Instructor is a self-employed franchisee and is licensed and regulated by the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency.

The Instructor reserves the right to withhold the use of the driving school car for the driving test if the pupil has not reached a satisfactory standard of driving experience, no refund will be issued.

Where payments are made direct to the Instructor, Select will not accept any responsibility for any acts, default or failure on the part of the Instructor to carry out his/her obligation.

​

Block booking advance payments are offered at a discounted rate on the assumption that all lessons will be completed and that a contract between the pupil and instructor has been formed by the exchanging of money for a service, no refunds are available on advance payments once the course has been started. In exceptional circumstances discretion as a good will of gesture may be applied to refunds with the original amount paid less the hrs taken at full rate and subject to an admin fee of £15. After 6 months of inactivity from the pupil no refunds will be issued.

Our Instructors reserve the right to amend a scheduled lesson time in case of breakdown or other difficulty.

​

Complaints - The Company will only deal with a complaint direct from the pupil and only after the matter has been discussed with their Instructor and an outcome cannot be reached.
